Run for PTO/SLT Office!

PTO executive board and SLT elections will be held virtually at the PTO meeting on Thursday, May 28th, 2026.

If you are interested in running for a position, you can access the nomination form in two ways:

1. Click HERE to fill out the electronic nomination form. You may submit your name for nomination electronically now until Wednesday, May 28 at 5pm. Electronic Nominations are only seen by members of the nominating committee prior to the Thursday, May 28th meeting.

2. Fill out and return the paper nomination form that will backpacked next week with all students. Please return your form to the main office by Monday, May 18th at 2pm.

On Thursday, April 23 nominations will also be taken from the floor, during the in person PTO meeting.

The following positions are available in the PTO executive board & School Leadership Team (SLT):

- PTO: President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary (s), Elementary School VP(s), Middle-school VP(s), Communications Secretary(s) 

- SLT: SLT Parent Representative (2 positions)

IMPORTANT: All candidates will be verified by the school before the slate is officially released. 

The nomination period will officially close on Monday, May 18th. The virtual election will take place on Thursday, May 28th, 2026. The election meeting registration will be sent in the coming weeks. 

ALL parents/guardians of students currently enrolled at PS/IS 187 are eligible to nominate themselves for any of the above positions. Therefore, if you have a desire to contribute to our school's leadership you are encouraged to run for office!
