Did you know the PS-IS 187 garden is maintained primarily by parent volunteers and funded by donations to the PTO? These dedicated parents collaborate with the faculty to teach student essential life skills through gardening such as love, respect, resilience, teamwork and wellness to make our world peaceful and sustainable. The PTO garden committee is looking for more volunteers. Gardening requires lots of helping hands-no experience required!
Students and families can engage in year-round activities to deepen our connection to food, nature and the collaboration needed to build environmentally sustainable systems.
Please join us in the garden this Saturday to learn more about the garden and how you can donate and volunteer to help keep our unique garden space a green oasis, used for learning, reflection and community building for all grades.
