An engaged parent community is essential for providing the best school-year experience for the children. Through the annual Class Parent Representative Program, the PTO facilitates parent-to-parent and teacher-to-parent communication by putting together the official Classroom Contact List and designating Class Parent Representative(s) for each individual pre-K-8th class.
Class Parent Representative(s) – one or two designated parents in each classroom – are a vital link between the homeroom teacher and the parent/guardian community. These wonderful volunteers keep parents/guardians informed about class and school-related items and work with the teacher to coordinate parental involvement in the classroom.
While being a CPR does take time and effort, it is often a truly rewarding experience.
